About the Department: -

The Department of Economics C. K. B. College, Teok was established in the year 1959 at the same year of the establishment of the college. Since establishment, the department has been offering the course in pre-degree level and as non-honours in the undergraduate level affiliated to Dibrugarh University. Major course in this subject was formally introduced in the year 1974. MISSION AND VISION OF THE DEPARTMENT The department’s aim is to provide quality education to the students through need based curriculum in economics and make them socially responsible human being through proper guidance and make them aware about changing challenges of new world in the field of economics as well as other relevant subjects . OIKONOMIA
The department of Economics has its own departmental Wall-Magazine in the name of OIKONIMIA , published periodically on the various issues of social science.The department always tries to increase the creativity of writings among the students on various topics related to the subject Economics and other relevant issues of society as a whole.
THE CAPITAL
The Department of Economics published annually one departmental magazine "THE CAPITAL" which was formerly named as "ECONOMICA". The department has been trying to enhance creativity power of writing articles among the students on various burning issues of society and economy. The department normally publishes this on the occasion of Establishment Day of the college the 5th September in each year.
