Red Ribbon Club

About Red Ribbon Club:-

Establishing Red Ribbon Club in Colleges serves many purposes: education youth and other members in the wider community on sexuality and HIV/AIDS, development of life skills for students involved  and  installing a sprit of compassion towards people living with HIV/ AIDS in our  country.

Red Ribbon Club a movement started by the Government of India in schools  and colleges through which, students will spread awareness over HIV/AIDS. It envisages to install charity mind among all the students to extend their able help towards developing healthy life style, doing  blood to all the needy by promotion of regular voluntary blood donation. 
Goal: To reduce the occurance  of new sexually transmitted infections ( incidence). Particularly HIV/ AIDS among the youth. 
Objectives:
1. To increase awareness on sexual reproductive healthy and HIV/AIDS.
2. To impact skills on communication, self-protection, negotiation and effective  group interaction.
3. To prepare youth as peer educators/ agents of change by developing their skills on leadership and team building.
4. To encourage  blood donation.
5. To serve as forums for students to participate in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

2021Health Check-up CampThe RRC, CKB College, Teok organized a Student health Check-up camp at the college premises to check up hemoglobin among the students' ,particularly girl students of the college in collaboration with FRU , Teok on 27th january, 2021. Total 104 students participate in the programme.
2021 World AIDS day celebrationThe RRC, CKB College, Teok celebrate World AIDS Day on 1st Dec, 2021. Prof. Nayan Baruwati and Rector of the College, Sunil Kumar Bhattacharyya decivered speech on the significance of the day. Total 48 students participate in the programme.
2021RRC Quiz CompetitionRed Ribbon Club organized Quiz competition on 18/12/2021
2020AIDS and Drugs Awareness Programme RRC, CKB College, Teok organized a AIDS and Drugs Awareness programme on 1st Dec, 2020 at jagduar. a leaflet was distributed among the people for the awareness of AIDS and Drugs.
2019Extension Programme : Medical Awareness Camp RRC, CKB College, Teok organized a Medical Awareness Programme in association with Kowoimari Sub-centre on 28th August, 2019 at Kowaimari Gohain Gaon Sub -Centre. Dr. Arnab Mahanta, Sri Rajib Mahanta (MPW), Rinjumoni Gogoi (ASHA) , lakhimi Gogoi Borah (ASHA) Lakhimi Hazarika (ASHA) Bornali Baruah (ANM) , Mrinali Bora Gogoi (AWW) 30 participants participated in the programme.
2019 Blood Donation Camp in College Premises. RRC, CKB College, Teok organized a blood donation camp on 25th Sept, 2019 in association with Greater Jorhat Lions Blood Bank. Dr. Himangshu Neog, Satyaranjan Hazarika, Bipul Chutia, Julmat ali, Aminul Hussain ( Technicial) cum member of Greater Jorhat Lions blood bank member participate the programme.
2018Blood Donation Camp in College Premises. A blood donation camp was held on 22nd Feb, 2018 at the college premises. A group of technicians and a doctor namely Dr. Rumi Fonglusa from Jorhat Medical College & Hospital is taking part as acollector of blood in the blood donation camp. total 38 number of students donate blood in the camp.
2017Academic Activity RRC, CKB College, Teok organized a Talk on AIDS Awareness as a celebration of World's AIDS Day on 1st Dec, 2017. Prominent doctor Dr. Dulumoni Kalita was invited as a speaker on this particular occasion. Total 89 participants participated in the programme.
2016-2017Extension Activity A Talk on AIDS Awareness: RRC, CKB College, Teok orgaiized a talk on AIDS Awareness at Teok Girls' H.S.School on 10th Nov, 2016. One prominent Social worker Dr. Naba Mahanta, Retd, Dy. Superintendent Jorhat Medical college Hospital was participated in the programme. Total 129 students participated in the programme.
