About Eco Club:-

The Eco Club of C.K.B. College, Teok plays an important role in creating environmental awareness amongst students and public  in surrounding area. The Chanda Kamal Bezbaruah College, Teok is a premier institute of Higher Education located in the eastern part of Jorhat district. The Eco-Club of College plays a vital role in creating environmental awareness among the future generation. For all round development of our environment the Club will do best in coming days.

2024Extension ActivityTo motivate the local community to keep their surroundings green and clean the Eco-Club of the College has taken plan to construct dustbin in the Gayan Gaon, Jogduar.To draw attention of the local communities towards importance of cleanliness, sustainability, environment, a meeting was organized by the Eco Club and after discussion with the local people, the places have been selected for construction of the dustbin
2023Extension ActivityThe National Energy Conservation Day, 2023 was celebrated at Teok High School under the initiative of Eco-Club, IIC, Extension Activities Cell of the College. Dr. Gautam Das, the convenor of the club delivered speech on the importance of the day. The programme was held with the goal of creating awareness among students about conservation and preservation of environment. Dr. Jibon Baruah spokes on importance and conservation of energy. Teachers, 73 students of Teok High School took part in the programme. The programme helps students of the said school to know about energy conservation.
2023Celebration of World Environment DayThe World Environment’s Day, 2023 was celebrated by the Eco-Club in collaboration with IIC, Extension Activity Cell and NSS of the College. Dr. Gautam Das, convener of the cell had made all arrangement for making the programme a grand success.  Dr. Gautam Das delivered a speech on the importance of the day and outlines the objective the progamme to raise awareness about the vital role of cleaning plastic. • Dr. Rubi Nath, Chairperson and Convenor, IIC Cell spokes on importance of plastic free environment.
2022Celebration of World Environment Day, 2022Celebration of World Environment Day, 2022 The World Environment’s Day, 2022 was celebrated by the Eco-Club of the College. Dr. Gautam Das, the convenor of the cell delivered speech on the importance of the day. Plantation Programme• As a part of the programme, a special lecture was held. Resource person Dr. Moyuri Chetiya delivered a speech on the importance of the day.• As a part of the programme, a plantation programme was started in the college campus.Participants: • Teachers and a few students took part in the progamme.Programme Outcome:• The proramme inspires students of the college to bring positive changes to the environment.

SchoolCelebration of World Earth Day, 2022 The director of the Club Dr. Gautam Das has taken initiative for raising awareness of environment among neibouring communities and students of Kaliya Pani M.E. School, Teok and celebrated the Day at the said school. 2022Plantation ProgammePlantation Programme: The Joint Director of the Club Dr. Gautam Das has taken initiative for plantation of Bakul, Nahar, and Chandan plants near the boundary wall of college playground. The first sapling of Chandan plant was planted by respected principal sir Dr. Bijoy Krishna Pachani..Participants: • Teachers and a few f students of college took part in the programme.Programme Outcome:Through this programme the Club decided to teach the students that we care for the environment and is a gift for future generations to come.
2022Census of TreeTree play a vital role in the eco system.The director of the Club Dr. Gautam Das has taken initiative for carried out tree census in the surrounding area of college. The 872 number of trees were observed during the survey.
2022Celebration of World Wetland’s Day, 2022Celebration of World Wetland’s Day The director of the Club Dr. Gautam Das taking initiative for raising awareness of wetlands among neibouring communities and celebrated the Day at Hanhchara H.S. School.. He outlines the objectives of celebrating the day at Hanhchara H.S. School. Dr. Gautam Das delivered a speech on the importance of the day and outlines the objective the progamme to raise awareness about the vital role of wetlands for people and planet. He also stated the theme of the year “ Wetlands Ation for People and Nature”• Mr. Robin Saikia, Convenor, Extension Cell spokes on preservation and proper maintenance of local wetlands among teachers and students of the said high school.• Head Master of the School concluded the programme thanking the teachers who made necessary arrangement for the celebration of the programme at their school and adding that such programme wold be again organized on a large scale as preservation of the wetlands are the need o the hour.Parti

2021Wild Life Protection ProgrammeWild Life Protection ProgrammeWild Life Plantation Programme: The respected principal, Dr Bijoy Krishna Pachani has given more importance on the protection of wildlife animals, birds with a view of ensuring the ecological and environmental security of the college.  For the protection of wildlife the club constructed a Teger Shed near the college farm. For the protection of wildlife the club constructed some bird cage.Participants: • Teachers and a large nuber of students of college took part in the programme.Programme Outcome: Through this programme the Club decided to show the students to work or the welfare of individual with animals.
2021Plantation ProgrammePlantation Programme: The Director of the Club Dr. Gautam Das had made all arrangement for planting saplings of trees contributed by Prof. Utpol Baruah, Samaguri College, Nagaon..Participants: • Teachers and a few members of students union of college took part in the programmeProgramme Outcome: The Eco Club started planting trees in the college campus contributed by Utpol Baruah, Samaguri College, Nagaon Through this programme the Club decided to show we care for the environment and is a gift for future generations to come.
2021Establishment Day and Plantation ProgrammePlantation Programme: The foundation day was a big celebration of or college. All the students and teachers were present at the do. The Eco Club decided to do something special for the occasion and organize a tree plantation drive. After inauguration off the event, the Eco Club in collaboration with the Medical Cell started planting trees in the college premises. As a part of the programme, each teacher’s planted a tree and took responsibility of look after the plant.Participants: • Teachers and a large number of college students took part in the programmeProgramme Outcome: The Eco Club and Medical Cell of the C.K.B.
