The World Environment’s Day, 2024 was celebrated by the Eco-Club in association with IIC, ISR Committee of the College. Dr. Gautam Das, the convenor of the club delivered speech on the importance of the day.The Rector of the College Mrs Yasmin Khan delivered speech on the importance of the Day. As a part of the programme, a plantation programme was started in the college campus. A total number of 2 saplings of trees were planted near the office of the IQAC.

The first sapling was planted by Dr. Binoybrot Rajkhowa, Associate Professor, Department of Economics. To bring awareness among local community the members of the Cell and students of the college distributed leaflets among the local shopkeepers and common people. The programme helps students and local people able to know about the value of tree resources and the importance of sustainable tree management.
