A Popular Talk Organised by Medical Cell , CKB College, Teok collaboration with Dharitiri Mahila Sangha on 4th January 2017.The organiser invited Dr Manjula Hazarika ,Mrs Manju Phukan and Dr Krishna Patgiri as a Resource Person .The faculty members of CKB college specially women and Girls students were actively participated the meeting.
A popular  talk  on Girls  Health and Psychology  was organised by the Medical Cell of CKB College Teok, in collaboration with Dharitri Mahila Sangha,Jorhat on the 4th January 2017.
The 4th and 6th Semester Girls students Participated in the Programme. The Resource Persons were  members of the Mahila Sangha namely-Mrs. Manju Phukan(NCERT),Dr krisna  Patgir,Home Science Department, AUU and Dr Manjula  Hazarika (Gynecologist).Mrs. Manju Phukan gave a very interesting picture of the duties,problems and prospects as a girl matures from  a child to an adult. She spike in details about our society, culture and tradition,which at times prove to be constraints in achieving our gaol and  dreams. She also  spoke  on sexual harassment and  its  Psychological impact on the victims. 
Dr.Krishna Patgiri  spoke about life skills. She defined it as "the abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everybody life. "(WHO)Life  skills are a set of skills that enable us to effectively handle issues commonly encountered in daily life. She gave common example from our daily life to substantiate  her  talk.
Dr. Manjula Hazarika (Gynecologist)talked about the health issues such as Gastritis  Chest infection, skin infections, Menstruation irregularity, Fever  Common Cold,Menstruation  problem and other  adolescence changes in their growth and Psychological problems. She displayed charts to show how the organs function and what are the dos and don't in health  related issues. 
The girls got answers to many of their queries in a very interesting Interactive Session. Finally as an ending note, Yashmin Khan, Convenor of the  Cell offered her vote of thanks to all present there  specially the Resource Persons for their interesting and fruitful  deliberation.
