Objective of the Study:

1. To assess the level of awareness about personal hygiene and practices on personal hygiene among adolescent girls studying in 8th to 12th standard.

2. To assess the level of awareness about mensturation and mentural  hygiene among girls

3. To elicit the belief , conception and source of information regarding menturation among the study population.

4. To determine the association between the knowledge and practice on mentural hygiene among the girls.

Results:

The school of study was significantly influencing the awareness about menarche.

The respondent's class of study , School, Domicle , mothers education , Type of house were significantly influencing the method of disposal of absorbents.

 The respondent school of study was significantly influencing the coping strategies during menstrual pain.
