The event was established by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in 2000 to raise awareness of how patients, copyright, trademarks and designs impact on daily life and “to celebrate creativity, and innovators to the development of societies across the globe. 26 April was chosen as the date for World intellectual Property Day because it coincides with the date on which the convention establishing entered into the force in 1970.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">This year, World Intellectual Property Day 2022’s theme focuses on IP and Youth innovating for better future.. it is an opportunity for the students to find out how IP rights can support their goals, help transform their ideas into reality, generate income, create jobs and make a positive impact on the world around them. With IP rights, students have access to some of the key tools they need to advance their ambitions. <o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Keeping in view the department of sociology CKB College, Teok organized a programme at college premises on 26<sup>th</sup> April, 2022. The programme was inaugurated by Pranab kumar saikia, head of the department and Ms. Mayashree Buragohain , faculty member of the department delivered a speech on the significance of the day. <o:p></o:p></span></p> | |
