The day focuses on raising awareness about the rich heritage that is an integral part of our culture and tradition.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Every year world heritage Day is marked with a specific theme. This year’s theme is “Heritage and Climate” to promote conservation research and employ sustainable strategies to protect heritage sites.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">The day assumes significance as it aims to raise awareness about our cultural heritage and promote historical monuments that need to be preserved. World Heritage Day advocates that the deterioration or disappearance of any part of a country’s history of shared global heritage.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Keeping in view the significance and importance of the day, the department of Sociology, CKB College, Teok organized this day at college premises on 26<sup>th</sup> April, 2022. The auspicious function was inaugurated by Pranab kumar Saikia, Head of the department of Sociology.
