1.      INTRODUCTION:

As per the notice from the IQAC Co-ordinator, C.K.B. College, Teok, on 4th Nov. to 7th November, 2024 a home visit program was conducted with the teachers of every department. The teachers of Sociology department visited Hanchara, Kaliapani, Bamunpukhuri,Bonai,  Teok, Balama, Jagduar area.  From this home visit programme the teachers learns more about the students.  It gives a better understanding of the student’s home environment and how that environment might impact the student’s learning in the classroom.

2.      OBJECTIVES:

The major objectives of the Students’ home visit were:

1.      It might help the teachers learns more about the students and his home environment.

2.      It gives better understanding about the socio-economic background of the students.

3.      It helps the team to know about the problems face by the students.

4.      It gives a better understanding of the student’s environment and the how that environment might impact the student’s learning in the classroom.

5.      It might help the teachers to provide suggestive measures to solve their problems which ever possible.

6.      To build a healthy relationship between parent and teachers.

 

3.      METHODOLOGY AND TOOL:

The team visited and meets the parents of 20 students of that particular area and collected the necessary information with the help of a standard pre- structured questionnaire. Teachers also got more information from the verbal communication after interacting with them.

The questionnaire was consisted of eleven Items. Each item has four option followed by excellent, very good, good, and poor etc.

The questionnaire also has a space for parents to give their opinion/suggestions about the overall experience of the institution.

 

4.      ANALYSIS OF DATA:

The collected data was analyzed according to the sequence of items of the questionnaire.

The teachers visited and meet 20 parents and collected necessary data with the help of pre structured questionnaire. Above Table no. 1 and Figure no. 1 shows that the total number of parents responded in four categories i.e. excellent, very good, good and poor for item number 4. Table  no. 1 show that the percentage in each category as per the respond given by parents. Out of 20 total, 17 no. parents (85 %) responded that admission procedure of the college is ‘Excellent’ , 03 no. parents (15%) responded that admission procedure is ‘very good.’

Above Table no. 7 , it is shows that out of 20 total 17 no. of parents (85%) responded that Career Counseling and Skill Development initiatives  of the college is ‘ Absolutely ‘ and 3 nos.(15%)  of responded that the teaching learning process of the college is ‘Satisfactorily’.

Above Table no. 8 , it is shows that out of 20 total 3 no. of students (15%) responded that they participated in College Week and Won Prizes and total 17 no. of (85%) students participated in cultural events.

All the 20 nos. of parent answered positively.
