Objectives: - To examine the working of the Teok Municipal Board and Political Expectations of people.
- To identity the problems and prospects of socio-economic life of Teok Municipal Region.
- To suggest measures for the development of the semi-urban society.
- To see the impacts of land eviction activities on the life of street vendors, retailers and the people adjacent to the highways.
- To determine the immediate economic impact and long term prospects of urbanization.
- To study the gap between the compensation pertaining to land eviction and the expectation of the people.
Outcome: - People in the age group between 18 to 40 are coming forward to participate in socio-economic and political life in Teok
- Teok Municipal Region is mostly dominated by the OBC’s and live below the poverty line and are therefore unable to integrate themselves within the political economy.
- People in Teok participate in political life either as voter orparty workers. But people are also disillusioned regarding the working of Teok Municipal Board. Most of the people are partially happy about the working of their representatives.
- Regarding compensation for land acquisition 17 per cent express that compensation is not enough.
