The Department of History, C.K.B. College, Teok, demonstrated its commitment to academic inquiry and student development through the successful submission of its Departmental Minor Research Project titled "The Level of Consciousness among the Parents of C.K.B. College, Teok about the Subject of History" on October 20th, 2023, to the Office of the IQAC, C.K.B. College, Teok. Under the guidance of Project Coordinator Martin Youah, Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of History, students were provided with valuable opportunities to engage in research methodologies and ethical practices. Serving as the Student Principal Investigator, Parashmoni Gogoi of B.A. 5th Semester, along with Co-Investigators Jadumoni Gogoi and Parijat Gogoi, also from B.A. 5th Semester, played integral roles in the project's execution. Through their involvement in the research project, students were equipped with essential skills in research methodology and ethics, gaining practical experience in conducting scholarly inquiries. Under the mentorship of the project coordinator, Martin Youah, students were guided through the fundamentals of research, from formulating research questions to data collection and analysis. This hands-on approach not only facilitated meaningful contributions to the field of history but also empowered students to become critical thinkers and engaged scholars. Overall, the Departmental Minor Research Project served as a valuable educational opportunity, allowing students to apply classroom learning to real-world scenarios while contributing to the advancement of knowledge within the academic community. Through their active participation in the research process, students gained a deeper understanding of the research process and its significance in shaping academic discourse and promoting informed decision-making.
