Combined Research Project on ‘A Study on Rural Women Livelihood under the NRLM and its Contribution to their Socio-Economic Development with Special Reference to Kaliapani Development Block, Jorhat District.’ The research project was particularly initiated with support of the other three departments (Sociology, English and Assamese) and the chief objective of the research work was to know about the conditions of the rural women under the specific National Rural Livelihood Mission (2011) in a specific reference to the Kaliapani Development Block . In the course of the research work we observed the real conditions of the rural women who have to face great hardships in everyday lives. Although ,the Mission has been trying to give a momentum to the aspects of the patterns of living of the rural women but still there are lots of problems which have to solved in a scientific management .
