Departmental Freshman Social: The celebration of the freshman social for the students of the CBCS First Semester had been organized very beautifully .The meeting was organized with an introductory speech by the Fifth semester student Nabajyoti Saikia and in his speech he very honestly pointed out the need of the friendly communication among the various students of our department in particular and how a good academic environment could be created through interaction in a lively way. The freshman social could be a stepping stone for the newcomer as well as to the existing old students in terms of sharing information regarding their studies as well as in the context of the society and economy . The programme had been inaugurated by the IQAC Coordinator Dr.Binoy Brot Rajkhowa and in his speech he succinctly pointed out the changing atmosphere in the higher education due to the competition in several sectors of employment . The competitive examinations and the organised preparation for those examinations particularly the IAS, ACS , Bank Officials must be made in order to get successful results. Dr. Bikash Nath ,the HOD emphasised about the urgent need of organising the objectives of the undergraduate years of study due to the rising scenario of unemployment . For that purpose a systematic and scientific management of the time and planning must have to be prepared where the success will arrive certainly.
