A Popular Talk on 'Problems and Prospects of Tourism' was organised by the Department of History, C.K.B. College, Teok on the month of March, 2017. The speaker of this talk was Prof. Mrinmoy Kr. Sharma who is a faculty member of the Department of Tourism and Travel Administration, Tezpur University. He spoke broadly on the theme and enlightened the students (especially SKILL BASED, 6th semester students) with many unknown facts particularly in aspects of the prospects those could remove the problems from the map of tourism . The products of the tourism both natural and manmade must be organised in such a way that those could attract the attention of the tourists .There should be an objective and comparative analysis of the states within the Indian federal republic where the tourism has been successfully pushed forward as the avenue of revenue collections and in what respects the other states for example the north eastern states have been lagging behind in certain key aspects of tourism industry.A proper private-public initiate could give a new touch of light to the problems filled area of tourism in Assam .
