As part of its "Team Teaching Programme"  the department of English, Chandra Kamal Bezbaruah College, Teok, arranges a special class on “Parijata Harana as an Ankia Naat” on October 16, 2019, and invites Mrs. Chitra Duarah, Associate professor (Assamese), Department of Commerce as the resource person.   In her lecture,  Mrs. Duarah discusses the characteristics of Ankia Naat composed by Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankardeva. She says that the basic objective of composing Ankia Naats by Sankardeva was to  provide the common people with a kind of entertainment and evoking a devotional sentiment among the audience. In her presentation, she explains how the basic features of Ankia Naat are reflected in Parijata Harana.

During the interactive session, Mrs. Duarah answers the queries from the students. Fifteen students and one faculty member of the department  participated in the programme.
