As per the notice issued on 22nd October 2024 by the IQAC, C.K.B. College, Teok, a team of faculty members from the Department of English, including Dr. Moyuri Chetiya, Dr. Junti Boruah (Head of Department), and Mrs. Mainu Teronpi, undertook home visits to gather valuable feedback from the parents and guardians of 20 Honours students. The primary objective of this initiative was to understand the perceptions and expectations of the families regarding various aspects of the college, including the teaching-learning environment, infrastructure and student support services. These home visits are part of the department’s continuous efforts to enhance communication with families and ensure a holistic academic experience for students.

Objectives:

The primary objectives of the Students’ Home visit were:

·         1. To review the student's academic performance and identify any difficulties they may be encountering in their studies

·         2. To establish a connection with the student and their family

·         3. To gain insights into the parents’ or guardians’ views on the college’s teaching and learning environment

·         4. To gather feedback on the evaluation and assessment methods implemented by the college

·        5.  To assess the transparency of the college’s admission process from the viewpoint of the parents/guardians

·         6. To obtain information about the participation and organization of sports and cultural activities at the college

·         7. To understand parents’ opinions on the college’s infrastructure and facilities
