On 30-03-2017 the department of Education, C.K.B College, Teok organized an inter college workshop on Yoga. The objective of the workshop was to make the students aware about the importance of ‘yogavyas’ as a heath care practice in our daily life and also to help them to learn different yoga postures and pranayam. Mr. Sunit Kumar Baruah from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya,Jorhat,who is a prominent Yoga expert was invited as resource person of the workshop. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Bijoy Krishna Pachani,Principal,C.K.B College Teok. Jiban Baruah,assistant Professor, department of Education was the Coordinator of the workshop. Total 70 number of students participated in the workshop. Out of 70 students 6 were from GhanakanaCollege,Tamulisiga; 4 were from Central College,Jorhat;5 were from, JhanjiCollge, Sibsagar and rest were from C.K.B College,Teok. Although the workshop was basically organized for the students but some teachers from the organizing college also participated willingly. The workshop had two sessions. In the 1^st session, held in Conference Hall-1, the yoga expert gave a deliberation on theory and importance of Yoga. The second session, held in Indoor stadium, was the practical session where the expert demonstrated various yogic postures before the participants.
