The department of Economics arranged a popular talk programme on  " NOBEL LAUREATE ABHIJIT BANERZE'S CONTRIBUTIONS TOWARDS ERADICATION OF GLOBAL POVERTY " on 31st Oct 2019. The speaker of the talk was Dr. Ananta Tamuli, Assist prof, Department of Economics, Jorhat Kendriya Mahavidyalaya, Jorhat, Assam.

OBJECTIVES-

1. To impart the knowledge of global poverty.

2. To familiarize the nobel laureate Abhijit Banerzee.

3. To interact with the resource person.

                                   At first Dr. B.B. Rajkhowa , HOD, Department of Economics delivered key note address and welcome all to the programme. Dr. Tamuli , resource person started his speech by addressing the students and other dignitaries. He highlighted almost all the contributions of Abhijit Banerzee towards eradication of global poverty. Total 70 numbers of students were participated in this programme.
