The department of economics observed WORLD POPULATION DAY by organizing a popular talk on  "Manpower Planning in India" at Renu Borah Memorial Academy, Teok. The speaker the pogramme was Dr. B. B. Rajkhowa , co-ordinator IQAC of C.K.B College. Total 70 numbers of students were participated in the pogramme .

 OBJECTIVE-

 The basic objectives of the programe  were as follows-

1. To aware the students about various provisions  of Human Capital formation.

2. To inform the student community about various scope of  employment opportunities in the field of self-employment as well as govt. and corporate world.

3. To aware the students about add on courses that have plenty of scopes and opportunities in the livelihood managemnet.

4. To inform the students about the composition and structure of population pattern of India and to make them aware how the population of the country is going to be recognize as the young population force of the world within 2030.

OUTCOME-

                   As much as 70 numbers of young students participated in the programme and actively participated in various issues of population debate. Hence the programme can be evaluated as a successful one and left a lasting imprint.
