The department of Economics submitted a departmental student research project on "Role of NREGA in Empowering Rural Population ; A case study" under the supervision of Dr. Rubi Nath, associate prof, Department of Economics.The research project was undertaken with financial assistance under Seed Money Scheme of CKB College, Teok. The principal investigators and co-investigators were Miss Chitra Boruah(5th sem, roll no-45),Sri bhairav Jyoti Sharma(3rd sem, roll no- 351)and Miss Nilakshi Arondhara (5th sem, roll no- 1),Sri Pranjal Gogoi (3rd sem, roll no-194) respectively. OBJECTIVES- 1. To analyze the role of NREGA in changing socio- economic status of the workers. 2. To study the women empowerment through NREGA. 3. To study the impact of rural migration. 4. To prepare a project report and submit it to IQAC. OUTCOME- A project report was prepared on the basis of both primary and secondary data. The primary data have been collected from 80 beneficiaries belonging to different villages, casts and communities. The secondary data have been collected from books, journals, news papers and office of the Kaliapani Development Block. | ||
