The department of Economics conducted a survey to study  the Socio-Economic & Health Status of the elderly population in three different villages of Teok Revenue Circle and prepare a departmental research project with financial assistance under Seed Money Scheme of the college.

OBJECTIVES-

1. To study the demographic trend of elderly population in the study area.

2. To analyze the socio-economic status of the elderly population in the study area.

3. To identify the factors effecting health conditions of elderly population.

OUTCOME-

  

                        The study was based on primary as well as secondary data collected from the three sample villages - Bam Gual Gaon, Da Gual Gaon and Jogduar.  The department prepared a  research project on it and submitted it to the IQAC reflecting the economic impact of ageing population and the status of elderly persons in respect of  health,living standard etc.
