| Summary: The department of Economics conducted a socio- economic survey at Teok Tea Estate of Jorhat district to submite a departmental mega research project on " socio- economic conditions of the tea garden labourers of the Teok Tea Estate, Jorhat, Assam". The project was prepared with the financial assistance of under Seed Money Scheme of CKB College Teok.<div><br></div><div>OBJECTIVES-</div><div>1. To see the living standard of tea garden labourers.</div><div>2. To study the contributions of tea <span style="background-color: transparent; text-align: center;">garden labourers towards the development of tea industry in Assam.</span></div><div><span style="background-color: transparent; text-align: center;">3.To study the health and senitation practices adopted by tea garden workers.</span></div><div><span style="background-color: transparent; text-align: center;">4. To study the socio- economic backwardness, causes of poverty, illiteracy of tea garden workers.</span></div><div><span style="background-color: transparent; text-align: center;"><br></span></div><div><span style="background-color: transparent; text-align: center;">OUTCOMES-</span></div><div> On the basis of primary and secondary data the study was completed among 120 households selected randomly from the garden. The research project was submitted to the IQAC CKB College Teok on 28 th December 2018.</div> | |
