The Department of Commerce, C.K.B. College, Teok organized a Team Teaching on Basics of Research on 31st May 2022 at 11 am. The students from B.Com 6th and B.Com 4th semesters participated in the class. Mr. Nayan Baruati, HoD, Dept. of Commerce inaugurated the class with a speech stating the importance of research in higher education. Ms. Ujjwibita Phukan then took the platform to give a brief introduction and an elaborate discussion on the basics of research, the difference between academic and marketing research, ways to conduct research, the importance of literature review, and the preparation of a project report. Dr. Debananda Baruah then continued the discussion by providing a glimpse of the broad periphery of research and its significance. He also provided practical examples of research activities. The students were highly inspired and delighted to know the theoretical base of the subject research. As a matter of fact, the department engages the students while conducting both departmental and inter-departmental research work. Therefore, this class helped them to know the theoretical structure of the subject research.
