| The Department of Commerce and Department of Economics of C.K.B. College, Teok jointly organized a special talk on a virtual platform on the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day on 26th April 2022. Mr. Bijoy Sankar Borbora was invited as the guest speaker for the special talk. He is an advocate by profession practicing in Jorhat Bar Library and has many other achievements to his credit. The talk was hosted by Ms. Ujjwibita Phukan, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Commerce, C.K.B. College, Teok followed by the inaugural speech by Mrs. Gita Sarma, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Commerce, C.K.B. College. After that the platform was handed over to him where he addressed the meaning and importance of intellectual property and also, shared the legal aspects of the subject. The context of Geographical Indications was also covered by him. Above all, the talk was a fruitful one with an interactive session with both students and faculty members. Faculty Members from various departments of the institution had an active participation in the talk. A total of 50 students joined in the talk.
