About Farmers Club:-

Agriculture is the backbone of our society as nearly 60% of the population depends on agriculture and it contributes 18% to the GDP. For sustainable growth in agriculture, there is a need to improve productivity and reduce the costs. Farmer's Friend Club Coordination Committee established by the College in 2022 to work collaboratively for the socio-economic development of the local arming communities. The college has made strides towards livelihood improvements of farmers and increases their pride in the occupation.  Farming is a lucrative option and educated youth should come forward to farming. Through adoption of high-tech farming, one can manage land, labour, power and other inputs efficiently. Farmers need problem solving advice at their fields. 2022Two Day National WorkshopInstitutional Social Responsibility Committee, C.K.B College, Teok in collaboration with Farmers’ Friend Club Coordination Committee, C.K.B College, Teok organized a National Workshop on the topic “Livestock-Fish-Horticulture based Integrated Farming for Enhancing Livelihood Security and Economic Empowerment of Rural Youths” on 20th and 21st May, 2022.Theme of the workshop: The Indian economy relies heavily on agriculture. Agricultural activities provide a living for about 60% of the Indian people. Indian agriculture is dominated by small and marginal farmers. With significant risks of natural calamities such as floods and droughts, India’s marginal and small farmers are focusing almost entirely on agricultural production. Farmers are unable to make enough money to support their families because of these calamities. Rising food and energy prices, depleting water supply, diminishing farm size, soil degradation, and climate change have adverse effects in the agricultural production
