Women Cell, C.K.B College, Teok organized
an incubation and start up conclave in association with Skill Enhancement and EntrepreneurshipmDevelopment Cell,Alumni association of
C.K.B.College, Teok and Teok Press Club on 10th, 11th and 12th April,
2022. It was a three day conclave held near Radhakrishna Mandir, Teok. The
students, alumni and adopted SHGs of the institution
participated with their self produced items such as, Doi, Sira, Pitha, Akhoi,
Hurum, Handah, Asar, Gur, vegetables, Tea, Assamese traditional
jewellery, traditional dress etc. in the conclave. The institution provided
them a platform to showcase their talents and goods in order to generate an
income out of it. A point of attraction in this conclave was participation of
students of Certificate courses and various cells of the institution. Another
point of attraction was a traditional kitchen cum canteen comprising of ethnic
cuisines of Mishing, Karbi and Tai-Singpho communities. The Animal Husbandry of
the institution was also showcased in the conclave consisting of piggery and
goatery. On 10th April the
conclave begin with the hoisting of the College flag by the Respected Principal,
Dr. B.K. Pachani. Mr. Tapan Gogoi, Hounourable M.P of Jorhat
Constituency was invited for the inauguration ceremony of the conclave. He
appreciated this initiative of the institution and added that such activities
would help in all round development of the students. The inaugural ceremony was
headed by Mr. Diganta Hazarika, Secretary, Teok Press club and the lightning of
lamp was done by Senior member of this society Mr. Surendra Nath Saikia. The
Deputy commissioner of Jorhat district Ashok Kumar Barman interacted with the
students of C.K.B.College, Teok on 11th April 2022. He also
inaugurated the “Strategic Plan 2020-2030” of the college as well as
appreciated the students and tried to answer the questions raised by the
students during the Interaction session. On 11th April
the retired Vice-Principal of Tingkhong College Dr. JatinKonwar inaugurated the
book authored by him titled, “Safety pin mora rumalkhon”. On
12th April, the conclave came to a harmonious end. | ||
